University Sport Birmingham has expanded its coach and athlete workshop programme to external clients. Highly relevant to experienced coaches at an intermediate or above level, these workshops are aimed at developing coach's knowledge, and more importantly the application into their coaching practices. Topics broadly cover sports nutrition, sport science/conditioning and coaching principles.

All sessions are led by highly qualified and experienced professionals - sport scientists, physiotherapists and researchers in coaching science - in the Performance Sport and Fitness Unit at University Sport Birmingham. Coaches can benefit from the expertise, hands-on and applied sessions, and use of the scientific facilities and equipment, including the exercise physiology laboratory and video analysis technology. The staff are vastly experienced in delivering educational sessions and are keen to explain just how they can positively impact on coaching and the athlete's performance.
