GENERAL INFORMATION

First sporting success:
Winning at the Cornwall County Championships when I was 10

Finest sporting moment: Coming 4th in the 400m Freestyle at the World Short Course Championships and winning the LEN Cup in 2006

Tip for the top: Relax and enjoy it

First GB selection year: 2003

Sporting heroes: Lance Armstrong. Everybody in high profile sport as it takes dedication to get to the top

Closest friends in sport: Rebecca Adlington and Keri-Anne Payne

Favourite sports other than swimming: All sports. I'm enjoying Rounders at present

Three words that best describe you: Determined, headstrong and nutter!

Most prized possession: Also my teddy bear called Rainbow and my medals from the Nationals

Biggest influence on career: My Dad as he's always been there for me, and of course my Mum

Toughest opponent: Myself

Biggest passion away from swimming: My dogs. I have two Golden Retrievers

How do you prepare to race: I prepare by having time and space to myself so that I can prepare my thoughts and concentrate

Biggest disappointment: All the times that I have come fourth

Family: My mum is called Zandra and she is a carer for adults who have learning disabilities. My dad is called Tony and he is an electrical engineer on submarines. I also have a younger sister called Lucy

Ultimate ambition: Become a Blue Peter presenter

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Blue Peter presenter! Or a PE teacher
