Staffordshire club, Phoenix Youth, has received a glowing report following their Clubmark External Verification.
Following Phoenix Youth Swimming Club's Swim 21 accreditation at Teaching level in August 2007, the club was selected for a Clubmark External Verification.
Knight, Kavanagh & Page manages Clubmark on behalf of Sport England and has developed an External Verification programme which is necessary to ensure that National Governing Bodies are maintaining the highest standards in the implementation of Clubmark throughout its sport.
Phoenix Youth Swimming Club was randomly selected for a club visit to ensure high standards of implementation of Clubmark at the club, and to ensure consistency throughout the sport.
The National Clubmark Manager's letter to the club, states that they were particularly impressed with the quality of experience that the club offers to the young people, and that they showed a high level of commitment to ensuring a duty of care and safeguarding and protecting children and young people.
Club Chairman, Karl Bourne, was delighted with the comments and felt that the Swim 21 / Clubmark process had been very worthwhile for the club as a whole.
